Moving On Up

September 8, 2015

Exchange Chambers has relocated its Liverpool Chambers to the second floor of One Derby Square.

The multi-disciplinary set has taken a ten year lease for 12,000 sq ft having previously occupied the first floor of One Derby Square. By moving to the second floor of the building, which overlooks the Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts, the set is able to offer a range of flexible accommodation options to its members. The new space also includes a range of new, IT-enabled conference rooms.

Commenting on the move, Tom Handley, Director of Chambers at Exchange Chambers said:

“One Derby Square is the ideal location for Chambers, overlooking the law courts and in the heart of the city’s central business district.

“In taking a ten year lease we are confirming our long term commitment to Liverpool’s legal services community. Moving to the second floor also provides Chambers with the space to continue our expansion by attracting outstanding barristers and outstanding work.”

Added Tom:

“Our new accommodation includes traditional offices as well as open plan space and hot desking areas. We are conscious that barristers from different practice areas have different requirements, depending on how much time they spend in Chambers and how much time they spend in court.”

Exchange Chambers is also based in Manchester, having relocated to new offices in January 2014, and Leeds. The set has over 150 members.
