- First Class Honours degree in law, Bachelor of Civil Law Balliol College, Oxford. Called to the Bar in 1988.
- Treasury Counsel since 2000.
- Recorder since 2002.
- Member of the British Horse Race Owners Association.

Disciplinary proceedings. I have a particular interest in disciplinary proceedings before the Horse Racing Regulatory Authorities.
Personal injury claims arising from participation in sport. I am currently acting in a case brought by a soldier against the Ministry of Defence. The soldier sustained catastrophic injuries when playing a rugby match.
Breach of confidentiality and breach of privacy including injunctions against newspapers. I recently successfully acted for an International Premiership footballer to restrain newspapers from publishing confidential information concerning him.
