After a competitive tender process, Exchange Chambers has been appointed to the West Yorkshire Barristers Framework Agreement.
The appointment is for an initial two year period and covers employment law / human resources, housing law, adult social services and community care law and property, planning and highway law.
The procurement process was led by Kirklees Council as lead authority. Other local authorities participating in the agreement are Bradford Council, Calderdale Council, Leeds City Council and Wakefield Council.
Commenting on the appointment, Tom Handley, Director of Chambers said:
“The West Yorkshire Barristers Framework is the latest example of local authorities seeking to establish long term relationships with key counsel.
“This was one the largest procurement exercises for a barristers’ framework to date and we are delighted to secure a place on the panel.”
Exchange Chambers opened in Leeds in October 2010. The Set has recently been shortlisted for the Chambers of the Year category at the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards 2011.
