Tim Holroyde QC Receives Knighthood

Tim Holroyde QC this week received his Knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen.

Mr Justice Holroyde, as he is now known, was sworn in as a High Court Judge earlier this year. He was called to the Bar in 1977, joined Exchange Chambers in 1978, took silk in 1996 and was appointed as a recorder in 1997. As a High Court Judge, he is assigned to the Queens Bench Division.

The 106 High Court judges currently appointed in England and Wales deal with the more complex and difficult cases. They sit in London but they also travel to major court centres around the country to try serious criminal cases, important civil cases and assist the Lord Justices to hear criminal appeals.
