Newly released market research has indicated that 95.5% of solicitors in Yorkshire believe that the arrival of Exchange Chambers in Leeds has strengthened the local Bar.
Exchange Chambers contacted over 100 law firms in Yorkshire to ascertain their views in relation to the local Bar.
“We are delighted with the feedback from this piece of market research,” said Tom Handley, Director of Chambers.
“Since opening our Leeds Chambers last year, we have received tremendous support from local solicitors which we are very appreciative of.”
The research also indicated that legal knowledge, personal knowledge of the barrister and compatibility with the client are the three most important factors solicitors look for when instructing a barrister.
The majority of solicitors (74.4%) are also more likely to instruct a Chambers which provides them with value added services such as in house training, the research showed.
