Louis Browne, a barrister at Exchange Chambers, is representing four police trainers at the inquest into the death of PC Ian Terry, who was accidentally shot dead by a colleague.
PC Ian Terry, from Greater Manchester Police, was hit in the chest in an exercise at a disused warehouse on June 8, 2008.
About 20 officers from the force’s Tactical Firearms Unit took part in the training exercise outside the Sharp’s disused factory in Newton Heath, Manchester.
PC Terry, a father of two children, from Burnley, Lancashire, was playing the part of a suspect armed with a pistol. He was sitting in the front passenger seat of the target vehicle, a Suzuki Vitara jeep.
Louis, who is also Treasury Counsel, is instructed by Burton Copeland.
