Exchange Chambers has further strengthened its Manchester set with the arrival of heavyweight criminal barristers Alaric Bassano and Benjamin Myers.
Alaric Bassano was called to the Bar in 1993 and joins Exchange Chambers from 9 St John Street in Manchester. He has developed a particular expertise in cases involving organised crime and serious sexual violence – a trend that is set to continue at Exchange Chambers. His serious crime practice is recommended by The Legal 500.
Benjamin Myers was called to the Bar in 1994 and joins Exchange Chambers from Young Street Chambers in Manchester. He specialises in human rights cases and often handles cases where crime and human rights overlap. His criminal and human rights practice is recommended by Chambers UK.
Commenting on his decision to join Exchange Chambers, Ben Myers said:
“Exchange Chambers is a progressive and forward thinking Set with a leading criminal practice. As the legal services marketplace continues to evolve, Exchange Chambers is very much the place to be.”
Alaric Bassano was equally positive about his move to Exchange Chambers, saying:
“I look forward to further building my practice with the heavyweight criminal instructions that Exchange Chambers attracts.”
Commenting on the arrival of Alaric Bassano and Benjamin Myers, Director of Chambers at Exchange Chambers Tom Handley said:
“We are delighted to welcome Alaric and Ben to Chambers.
“They are first rate criminal barristers with excellent reputations that have been built up over a number of years.
“Both Alaric and Ben have substantial practices which we can help them to further develop and expand over the coming months and years.”
