Less than twelve months after opening in Leeds, Exchange Chambers has been shortlisted for the Chambers of the Year award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2011.
Supported by the Leeds Law Society, the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards is the premier event in the Yorkshire Legal Calendar.
“We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award,” said Tom Handley, Director of Chambers.
“Since opening in Leeds last year we have made giant strides. We are grateful for the tremendous support we have received from Yorkshire’s legal community.”
The award nomination is a further boost for the fast expanding Set after recent market research indicated that 95.5 % of solicitors in Yorkshire believe the local bar has been strengthened since Exchange Chambers opened in Leeds.
The Chambers of the Year category is open to a Chambers of barristers established in Yorkshire. Chambers are shortlisted on the basis of demonstrable legal expertise and innovation, strategic vision, client care and satisfaction, contribution to the community and consistent approach to education and training.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 5 October at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.
