Exchange Chambers has been named as Barristers’ Chambers of the Year at the Personal Injury Awards 2011.
In collecting the prestigious award, Exchange Chambers’ personal injury department was praised for being approachable and offering the highest standards of service, for its consistent approach to education and training and for effectively promoting the use of alternative dispute resolution.
The judges also praised Exchange Chambers for its involvement in the ground breaking negotiation between former prisoners of Guantanamo Bay and the British Government, in which Gerard Martin QC acted as lead negotiator.
Commenting on the award, Bill Braithwaite QC, Head of Exchange Chambers and Head of the Personal Injury department said
“The objectives of the Personal Injury Awards are to identify high standards of practice so we are delighted to be named as Barristers’ Chambers of the Year. It is a great credit to all our members who are committed, focused and driven in their pursuit of excellence.”
It is the second year in succession Exchange Chambers has been recognised at the Personal Injury Awards, with Bill Braithwaite QC named as Barrister of the Year at the 2010 Awards.
