Bill specialises in property litigation, particularly commercial and residential landlord and tenant, trusts of land claims, mortgages and other lending secured on real property, easements, restrictive covenants and all aspects of conveyancing. He also specialises in solicitors’ negligence arising out of property transactions including loss of opportunity claims. He has been described in Legal 500 as “very knowledgeable in property litigation”.

His publications include “Defective Premises: Law and Practice” for Sweet and Maxwell in 2008, “Boundary Disputes : a Practical Guide” for EMIS Professional Publishing in 2003, which is currently being re-written for its second edition, and numerous articles and case notes for the New Law Journal and other publications.
He has lectured widely in property law both inside and outside chambers including for Liverpool and Sheffield Law Societies and is regularly engaged by CLT as a lecturer.
