Since taking Silk, Tania has developed a thriving criminal practice and in particular, has developed a good deal of experience in defending cases of serious sexual assault, in particular cases of historic sex abuse. The mainstay of her practice throughout her career has been her ability to detect, expose and defeat malicious allegations and claims . All this stands her in very good stead for exposing malicious and false allegations of serious sexual abuse , Furthermore, her personal experience of the challenges presented by psychologically vulnerable children and adults gives her a valuable insight into the making of false allegations against carers, teachers, family members, people in authority etc.
She has experience also of defending and prosecuting cases of homicide. Homicides involving issues of medical complexity including causation are of particular interest given her personal injury background.
