Personal Interests:
I have particular interest in the history of art with particular emphasis on French painting from the early nineteenth century. My degree is in history, in the main political history and I have maintained that interest since graduation. The late Georgian period is of special interest.
My eldest son is an enthusiastic walker and I accompany him as often as possible.
I attend, with my youngest son, local football matches from the premier league down to non-league football. I enjoy most sports having played football, rugby and cricket. I also enjoy the theatre and am a member of a film club.
