Lee became a tenant in 2011 after successful completion of a mixed common law pupillage, during which he spent time with members of the criminal, personal injury and family departments. He is keen to maintain a mixed practice and to accept instructions in all aspects of common law.
During pupillage, under the supervision of Adrian Farrow, Lee observed a wide range of interlocutory hearings and trials. He now regularly acts for both prosecution and defence in the Crown and Magistrates’ courts. He has experience of a wide range of hearings, including PCMHs, sentences, POCA applications and he has conducted appeals against sentence and conviction.
He has experience of defending in trials for common assault and criminal damage and regularly prosecutes in cases of benefit fraud for the Department of Work and Pensions.
In addition, Lee has presented and responded to legal arguments concerning admissibility, abuse or process and submissions of no case to answer.
