The team deal with all aspects of housing law and landlord & tenant litigation and their interface with human rights law. Paul Burns and Sarah O’Brien are recognised as leaders in the field by Chambers & Partners 2009 and frequently act in high profile and test case litigation. Paul Burns represented the successful appellant in the recent appeal in Knowsley Housing Trust v Prescott & Prescott [2009] EWHC 924 concerning the proper approach to suspending possession orders in cases of criminal conduct.
