Christmas collection raises thousands for charity

February 1, 2016

Exchange Chambers has raised £2800 for charity through its annual Christmas collection.

The money will be split between two charities – EUROPAC Pancreatic Cancer Research Unit at Liverpool University and Clatterbridge Cancer.

The collection was organised by Mark Mulrooney, a barrister at Exchange Chambers.

“Rather than exchanging Christmas cards over sixty of our barristers and staff made a donation to charity,” explained Mark.

Exchange Chambers’ Christmas collection has now been running for 27 years.

“Over the years we have raised tens of thousands of pounds for a whole host of good causes,” he added.

Previous beneficiaries have included Dreams Come True, the Oliver King Foundation, Shelter, NCH, the Cardiomyopathy Association, the Special Care Baby Unit scanner appeal at Whiston Hospital, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Merseybeat (cardiothoracic) Appeal, Wargrave House School for Autistic Children, STEPS, St Anne’s Hospice, The Seashell Trust and Wythenshawe Special Care Baby Unit.
