Practice Overview

Huw is a barrister specialising in criminal law. He has wide ranging experience both prosecuting and defending the most serious criminal offences including homicide, fraud, drug and firearms offences, serious violence and sexual offences. Huw is a Category 4 Prosecutor and is a member of the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) panel.

Huw is also a member of the Specialist Regulatory Panel and accepts instructions to either prosecute or defend matters brought by the Environment Agency and the HSE.

In addition, Huw has conducted a variety of licensing cases both in the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown court, as well as attending other bodies such as the Road Traffic Commissioners Court.

Huw has conducted a variety of firearms licensing cases, including appeals against the revocation of shotgun certificates.

Huw also acts on behalf of parties in Inquests and Public Inquiries.
